How much do you expect to save?  If it's more than the extra depreciation then go for it.

You'll probably get loads of whingers saying it's high mileage, and trying to get it for peanuts anyway.  My 2005 ZX6R C1H is showing 44,500, and hasn't had the main service yet, so I wouldn't worry too much.

I would be inclined to go for the reliable economic option (but only if it is a proper option). I have known dealers knock a service book lacking stamps to knock the seller down on price and then heypresto, the bike suddenly has all the stamps in and a full service history when it reaches the shop floor.....I am servicing my bikes myself from post 600 service, it has'nt effected my selling of bikes as they are all immaculate and it is clear they have been maintained. The white board in my garage reflects the work under taken, its over serviced. Cheap and reliable would be my shout. :headbang:
