Bin laden killed!
« on: May 02, 2011, 08:26:23 AM »

I'll assume you've all seen or heard the news that Osama bin liner has been killed by the Americans! Good news for the Americans I say cause justice is done and all that and being ex army myself I've spent years running around the sand pits cause of the mess he made.

I can't help but think though that this is gonna cause an almighty upset and Britain is gonna get a slice of the pie with regards to a few attacks our way.

Your thoughts?

Was amazed that the yanks managed to pull off an operation like this without ballsing it up!
Or was it the good old SAS and we handed it to em as a political exercise?
Would make sense for them to "wrap it up" as it were.
Youre right tho, next few weeks could be dodgy!

Don't really get why they had to shoot him though? Why the hell didn't they bring him back to USA for trial? I get that passion was high for his death but doesn't seem right to me (suppose the $25m reward may well have had a hand in it?).

If they had taken him to the us for trial then there would of been an almighty war kick off!

All the extremist followers he has would of massed as an army and it would of been a case of "release him or they will be trouble".
Naturally they wouldn't of and the world would have been battered by terrorist attacks.

Personally I'm skeptical as to whether or not they did, it's all 'too' convenient for me so I'll keep an open mind

I did think the same when i first heard the news, although due to the global feeling towards him i would assume that they made 100% that he was dead before releasing it to the world press.

:iamwithstupid: I don't trust the Yanks one bit. It's most likely propaganda because they know they can't win in Afghanistan and have pulled this stunt as they want out.
