Along with the ZX7R I'd love to have a ZXR750.
What the Germans call "Youngtimers". In other words - future classics.
I think the ZXR would be a superb handler with an after market rear shock. Seem to remember the std shock was stiff as a board. The front end is already legendary for its stability.
A few subtle mods (brake hoses, end can, usual stuff) and standard paint would make a really usable retro classic.

Yep, love these old ZXR's.That looks like a K1 if I'm not mistaken. Almost bought one a few years back, but couldn't really justify the expense on a pure nostalgia trip. Heavy old bus though and needsa bit of sorting to be really useable. Deffo a future classic  :headbang:

Love my zx7r just in process of upgrading rear shock to a zx12 one already got full stainless, braided lines front and rear beleive me you need them standard are crap, k+n, got stage 1 dynojet kit but not a lot of good reviews so debating if im going to keep or change. I loved my 10 but for an old bike 7 is a beast only 4000 mls aswell thats why i snapped it up.

Wheeltrax....your pic is of the k model. I owned one of those. Pig to ride in traffic but oh my god when you got the rev's over 4k it took off and kept pulling like a train wayyyy past the redline. I've had the first R1's and wasn't that impressed against the power delivery of this k model. The ninja 10r is the first bike I've riden that surpases the old zx750rr. Hated the colours but thats the way it has to be!!!
