Straight in apart from a few internal changes to valves and cams.

The thing is though he has a C1 engine sat on his garage shelf. Someone has said that there is a sensor in the E1 head that will need drilling and tapping into the C1 head.

Get Haynes manual then - easy peasy.
OR why not swap over the heads giving it quick topend refresh at the same time.

The engines have lots of differences , even though i work for a kawasaki dealer we avoid C models where ever we can as there not the most reliable engines. Up to u though its your bike.
If it was me id make one good engine out the two and use the e gearbox

I had 3 C'1s as I liked them that much, never had a bit of trouble with them  :icon_thumleft: always serviced regularly, used daily all weathers, never let me down.

Had a C1 and put 47,000 on it and it never ever broke plus the gear box was as sweet at 47. as new. A simple brute of an engine, loved it :headbang:
