and yes it's simple to complete the mods / upgrades, the engine is me afterall. I've found loads of trails to ride and it's bloody brilliant fun riding MTB, I've been riding regularly for 2.5 years now and love it, the difficult bit is the forst 6 months of pain but once the fitness is reasonable you can ride further and more challenging trails and thats where the thrills are
I now have
- hope brakes and floating rotors, very bling but great too
- Revelation RLT Ti 150mm forks, bloody brilliant
- AM DT Swiss 5.1 wheels which rarely failk
- Hope pro 2 hubs, very good especially the 'clicky' noise that others can hear when you are catching them
- A better saddle, very important
- XT 30 speed groupset, very nice and works well
- More tyres than you can shake a stick at, albeit have settled for Panaracer XC pro as a do it all tyre
it's great fun for sure but my god it costs a few quid just to ride a push bike these days
