Birthday Ride Out
« on: April 02, 2011, 11:58:33 PM »

I turned 40+ this week so took the day of work and rode from Salisbury to Brighton along the coast then headed to the Ace Cafe for a brew and a burger.. Top day's ride, a tad over 300 miles by the time I got home and some great raods to boot!!

And the bike didn't miss a beat.........wot a fantastic machine, I love it  :headbang:

My right shoulder was aching at the end, I guess it cos you are always on the gas and can't really relax your right wrist and hand whilst riding.  Other than that my knees and everything else was OK, though I did make the most of a good stretch every time I stopped.  I find 100 miles my limit b4 I need to take a break.

A mate and I did a 10 day Euro trip a few years ago, we had no real plan except to take the best roads and enjoy the ride, we ended up in Monaco...top place.  I was on a Triumph Daytona 955i, my mate was on an VFR, by the time I got back my wrist were in tatters and i was glad to get of the bike, he was OK.  That said I had the best time in the mountains as the sports bike lost the VFR on the twisties
