Ive been using Arai for the last 14 years and wouldn't use anything else.
The RX7 I have is a great lid but last year I bought a Chaser which is even more comfortable and far quieter. The only downside is that the side pods that hold the visor on are a bit of a weak point.

At the end of the day you need to get out there and try on different makes. What suits one person's head shape may not be comfortable for you.

Shoei XR1000 with whisper strip.  Tried most other high end makes and found my head is most definitely Shoei shaped.  As has been said, visor changing is a piece of piss and the thing is very quiet.  I know what my next helmet is going to be!

Got an XR1100 and RX7.....love em both.

Shoei for long distances and comfort...plus has my headset installed. Dead quiet and really comfy...

Arai for small trips and fast hoons.....

Personal preference mate....find which suits and go for that....regardless of price!

Shoei X-Spirit2 for me, I didnt think it would be any better than the X-Spirit but it is, just. Even at well over 200 mph both of these lids have been stable and fairly quiet. Wouldn't stick my head in anything else.

I presently have a Arai Astro J, it's been great but it's now showing its age and has a few stone chips.  Has anyone owned a Bell helmet?  I like the look of them but don't know too much about em.  Are they comfy, is the visor easy to change, are they quiet?

There's a guy called Tim on the forum who runs Motopuro and he stocks them and is willing to give at least 10% discount to forum members.

So what do you know of Bell lids?

Below is the link to his website and the lids.

Arai RX7 for me. I also have an Arai Viper.

Both bought on a discount (but still expensive) and very comfortable. I actually get on okay with the visor changes, to be honest.

Had an AGV, which I hated, before the Arais. It was probably more the head shape that anything inherently wrong with the helmet, though.

I'll always be Arai. And broke.

Only problem at the minute with Shoei is the colours/designs are really crap!! I need a new one but there's nothing out there that floats my boat...
