New ZX10r Owner
« on: March 08, 2011, 11:49:09 AM »

Left a deposit on my very 1st Kawasaki yesterday.  An 04 ZX10r in blue.  One owner mint condition.  Roll on Saturday!

Just need to sell my 99 Hayabusa now.  Any takers?

Fantastic  :headbang:

Love that colour too, but can't trust myself with anything blue [rofl]

Saw a Busa on a track day at Donnington once, it seemed to handle quite well given it's size.

Enjoy and  pictures of the blue beast are a must once you have collected it  :icon_thumleft:

Never modded the 2 I had with a TRE, seemed to go pretty well as standard.

There may be a few others on here who will answer your question with a different opinion, I would personally suggest, if you haven't ridden the 05 ZX10R before, take it out for a good run and get a feel for it to see whether it warrants your additions  :headbang:
The 05 10R engine is sweet and manic if your a little heavy with the right hand, but you have owned the 'Busa' so you know what fast is!

I think the difference is the 05 10R feels raw and rapid with it, treat it with respect and skill and you will be richly rewarded.
I posted a video on here the other day of a trackday at Prestwold on my standard 05 10R, have a look, There's no doubt loads on You Tube, but I think you will get the jist of what I mean.

First & Foremost, welcome to the exciting world of ZX10R ownership, there's a lot of lads on here that live and breath the 05 and will help you out with advice.

Ride Safe & Enjoy  :icon_thumleft:

Not Really  :headbang:

I can't recall the very minor revisions, other than kawasaki's usual 12 month colour revision  [rofl]

By the way where are you based, your profile does not state?

Welcome to the fold and enjoy  :headbang:

Have a ride and then consider if you need a steering damper first, most added them on the 1st gens  :icon_thumleft:
