It is a crazy place, traffic rules are non existant except for "if its bigger than you, give way to it" and "beep your horn like hell and you can overtake wherever and on whatever side you like". It has to be experienced to be believed. On dual carriageways, you will meet buses coming at you on the wrong side of the road in the fast lane! Not just occasionally but every few minutes! Everybody on the trip managed to hit at least one other vehicle, our guide managed to hit a cow! One of our group had a monkey jump on his bike while we were riding and try to nick his bag!
On the other side of the coin, the beauty and serenity of the place was overwhelming. On one particular morning, just pootling along at the back, i cried like a baby for no reason that i can fathom apart from having an overwhelming sense of wellbeing! Felt like a right prat when we stopped until i realised i was not the only one. None of us knew why!
This time last week, i was riding towards the River Ganges Camp. Wish i was back there!

Many thanks for the donation.

Dont dream it, do it. I fully expected it to be a great trip. I didnt know my expectations could be exceeded by such a huge margin.
We went with a company called Global Adventure Challenges. 2 guides and a back up van with a mechanic. The mechanic was awesome. Cant have been more than 20 years old. I managed to blow up my engine on day 2 after some "spirited" riding. Piston in 2 halves, both valves bent. He had a new barrel and piston and 2 new valves in her in an hour and a half by the side of the road using only a very basic tool kit.
