REG plate how much us it worth

I have just bought a project bike and the reg looks pretty cool
Is it worth anything

If I remember rightly does the donor bike have to have an mot for the plate to be able to be taken off it? Just wondered cos I got an old fiesta that has a nice plate but keep meaning to get It off

i transfered my plate not so long ago (last week) n this has all the information that i needed:
