managed to check out the maps & see where we went....
Route we took (from Geneva) took us along the Simplon Pass, Furka Pass, San Gatthardo - turning off at Andermatt & on to the Oberalp Pass (awesome bit of tarmac...sweeping corners, low traffic, plenty of room to open the throttle), then from Chur down to Davos, & on to the Stelvio. Took 3 days to do the trip.....2 to get there, than 1 lllooonnnggg day to get back in time for work on Monday.
Recommend staying at the Nepalese gaff at the top...great views, good food, basic diggs, & you can ride up in the evening when there is no traffic, and get on the road first thing...before the feckin' camper vans start.
I'd guess you should not find snow in July.....but I was surprised r1flyguy hit some in June
...tho probably not as much as he was.
