Any folk out there with knowledge of the Xbox and Xbox Kinect?

Have to admit to not being a gamer, but think I may get a system and get into the Xbox thang over Christmas.  So if you know about this system what would you recommend for a newbie to the game thing, memory size and all that, I'm not interested in going on-line and playing Jonny from Taipan etc, just a system to play games and have a laugh with the kids at home

The 250 gig black elite is so cheap now u might aswell just get that cos believe me you will get hooked and u will want to play those mooshes across the pond
