Went yesterday with Mrs EXJ, enjoyed myself all in all. Perched myself on loads of bikes, pulled in loads of clutch levers and twisted numerous throttles and basically got myself near fever pitch. Combined with the bevvy of bints in lycra and Yoshimura this and Ohlins that I was really careful not to erupt. Missus was on hand to clean up any mess that might have dripped......
The reality wasn't likened to the above wet dream. But it was close. Close because it was like an old relative you only see once a year around xmas, you know what they're gonna say, act like and the usual bad jokes that only they laugh at..............
............such as the gaggle of northerners in muscle pants and mullets still pouring over 'Foggy' memorabelia, brewery stench from any stalls near the bar with beer breath passers by crushing toes and knocking carrier bags into shins, crowded 'latest super-missile' queues...only to get your turn then get "you've sat on that four times, my feet hurt, how long are you gonna be?" from the nearest and dearest and stall holders laughing openly when you suggest a 'serious offer' for
Show Bargin Deals-Make Us An Offer all of which go to making it the NEC.
Still better than being at home and the missus giving a run-down of the days chores. I mean spending a day surrounded by bikes, birds and goodies ain't bad is it? Just a shame that we have to spend 34 quid to do it. Much like anything else involving bikes, it's all expense.
Got some photo's of some
decent bikes.
Just a shame the new ZX10R looks like it was made in China. But all the new Jap bikes for next year look iffy.
