as said before we all go on tracck days knowing our pride and joy might get bruised, if it was your fault and you were riding like a cock jockey then compensating him is doing the right thing but think of yourself for a moment, if he had hit you would he be compensating you. i very much doubt it, tell him to go ride the big one

tbh i think it was my fault because i delayed braking and went straight on the corner, but thats why i offered a contribution.
What pisses me off is the fact that taking off fairings and putting them back is not a big deal. I told him straight away i could sort out painting. But it looks like he things i will pay for everything. And 40 odd quid for an hour of work??? I would love to be paid 40 pounds an hour.
Anyway thanks a lot for your views, now i know its not only me.

its a track day mate gotta expect it. I know they harp on about this is not a race day etc etc but everyone goes out with the same thing in mind overtake overtake sometimes it happens i was dicing with another chap we touched and my peg made a groove in his fairing ..... we had a laugh afierwards and a beer on the way home  :occasion14: shit happens tell him to do one

he never said he thought he was insured,read the thread.

but is taking the piss out of someones very kind offer of help with contributing towards the costs of repairing the damage.

i would be pissed off if someone stuck it up the inside going into a corner and then went straight on instead of lying it down and then hit me but saying that if they come over after and said sorry i would be ok because its not like there is a lot of damage and no one is hurt
