Jamma,
I agree. Every single one of us rides with the wind on our tails some/most/all of the time, but the fact is this guy filmed it and stuck it on the internet. Now, if I get pinged by a cop car/bike/helicopter then that's bad observation (to a certain degree) and bad luck (to a large degree) on my part. That'sthe way it goes and we all balance the risk/reward.
Now...I've never seen Glynn's videos, but if he's been uploading a number of them, and putting them on the net, and if they show him riding in a way that's a danger to himself and others... well, he needs to give his head a wobble. That is as bone as you can get. The police see it, they know where he lives... you know the rest. It's not a slight on us bikers, it's a response to fiming an illegal act.
And while it may look like a waste of resources, what's proportionate? Steam into his house with one WPC? Sending 8 officers in for a sure-fire conviction is actually a very good allocation of resources, overwhelming firepower and all that.
If he hadn't fimed it and posted it on the internet he'd be a free man and all his bikes would be in his garage. It's 100% his fault. Nothing to do with the police whatsoever.
