stated work before i left school and proud to say ive never been out of work yet   :icon_thumleft:

and you don't have to go fast to get your knee down . some people have long legs and don't have to lean as much as shorter people .
most of it is to do with body position on the bike and in most cases your find your not that far from doing it ? if you think you have your arse of the seat then you probably haven't ? get your arse off the seat more . and just because you knee is on the floor it don't mean you will become a faster rider  :dontknow:
to go faster you should be trying to get smoother on your bike and try to flow through the bends to the next bend and so on . a lot of riders make the mistake of trying to hard and throwing the bike all over the place and just giving them self more to do . then it all gets to much for the brain to take in and then # bang #
it all goes tits up . Frankie Chili was fast and smooth (it looked like he was out for a sunday ride mot of the time ) and Dani Pedrosa is good too . watch him hes as big as a Nat so its not muscle getting him round and he don't always get hes knee down . in fact a lot of the time he will keep both legs pulled in to the tank in some bends, but he keeps it all smooth and flowing ...and some times you may need to slow down to go faster if you know what i mean  :icon_thumleft:

Had most of the big sportsbikes in the last 12 years, but it's only this year on the 10R that i've scraped the ol sliders.   :headbang:  I'm no Rossi but always been at the front of Inters group or front half of fast group; knee down does not neccesarily mean you are going faster.  Tyres and confidence in the bike make a massive difference.  Make sure your suspension is set up well and you have good sticky tyres. 209GP's, 211 GP's, Renntecs, Supercorsa's, etc. they will help give you the confidence you need to get it reet ooer in the corners!  Rockinham International was where I started scraping, mostly left handers, for some reason I feel better hanging off the left side; this then gave me the confidence to get the both sides down at the next trackday.  Keep the faith! :icon_thumright:

Have done level 1 CSS. Very good, but level 1 doesnt cover hanging off or getting your knee down, at least it didnt in 2001 when I did it at Rockingham (great track  :icon_thumleft:)

What I found worked, was to shift over leaving half your arse on the seat, but not twisting your body and pushing your knee right out to the side, at the same time,  until its at right angles to the bike. Dont try to push it down. The further it is out to the side, the easier it will go down. Then once youre happy with feeling it touch down you can apply more throttle and bring it in more to the side of the bike, but still touching/sliding on the track

As others have said, it doesnt necessarily mean you will be going fast, but I feel more confident riding that way on the track. NEVER on the road  :headbang:

That might me a problem:
im not sure about my tyres, and a bike. dont get me wrong it runs well but i change tyres, take wheels off put them back, adjust chain etc-normal things we all do but im not sure if everything is right and done properly.
