from a track point of view it's simple.


you want to come feeling like you've been riding at 99% of the bikes potential and pissing on a few gixxers through the corners(not so much out of them as they are a bit more grunty) and have a happy self satisfied smile on your face when you see your lap times,backing up the thought of pushing the bikes limits,then get a 10.


if you want to go out on track and pass the same amount of gixxers and a few zx10r's without actually feeling all that involved with the bike or that your pushing it's limits,then come into the pits,look at your lap times and wonder how the fook that was quiicker than the 10,then get a blade.


in a nut shell.

zx10r,so much fun and a great feeling of satisfaction and involvement that YOU rode the tits off it and stayed on.


blade,fun but doesn't give you the same satisfaction as the bike is so easy to ride,which ultimatey gives you faster lap times but without the same thrill.


i ride a blade  rack now by the way but really do miss my track 10.(still have my road version)

only certain parts ( as is proberbly the same for most bikes) the design and main parts are made and put together at hinckley.

Each to their own lads, I like the blade, I was going to get one until I took the 10 out and got my green streak back! I like a bike that has character and the blade just lacks it in comparison to the 10R. Then most bikes do don't they.......

Both are good bikes, both are fast bikes. Certain models of  each are better than other models in various ways.

But if anyone thinks buying a stock one or other will make them faster on the track then i disagree.

Stick Rossi on either of them and he will faster than you  !

Think you'll find a guy on here Dave (Top Cat? ) that races switched from an 08  ZX10 and knocked seconds off his laptime. At the end of the day if you don't have confidence in a bike you wont be able to go fast on it

i liked my 10r,but as i said before my blade is the better road bike.
