I remember being in my Golf GTi and racing a lad on an R1 through the twisties. Not far off, and we had a right giggle at each set of lights. Straights he left me, but easily made it up on back roads. Wonder what it would be like in the R32 (4WD) ha ha.
Have to be honest, unless you a fecking BSB rider on roads you know. Most decent powered cars can keep up with bikes...does sometimes piss you off. The difference is on a straight most things are fucked. If you nail it, an proper nail it in 1st...you'll be pulling 100+ in 4ish secs. Not 60 in 4secs like the cars.
Once rolling again, the torque of cars helps. Any Physicists in here will explain about rolling motion/inertia etc and why you would need something like 4 or 5 times the torque to pull away noticeably. Two years ago on Autobahn I remember a certain group of 10's (me, Hammy and ChrisZx10r) being flashed by a Audi S8 at about 175+ MPH.....we did have luggage on though. HA HA
However, cars will never make me feel alive as much as my 10R. And I've driven some pretty nice cars over the years, and nothing is even close. They make me smile, Yes! They make me chuckle, Yes! And the sound of V6's and V8's gives me wood. But honestly....I'd take a bike anyday.
Here endeth the lesson.
