Kneedown School!
« on: September 17, 2010, 10:36:27 PM »

Seriously - went down to Chepstow racecourse today to attend the Kneedown School they run there.
Against regular thought it is run Anti-clockwise so its the left knee you run on.
The bike runs special outriggers to prevent "issues" and the instructors are very laid back but miss nothing.
Body positioning, throttle control, foot placement, etc are all covered.
Very happy and now have to explain to the missus why I need new sliders.......................

Really? - I guess you're one of those that knows how to control a slide, how the front feels when it tucks, and what a highside is when it bites.
No - well the guys  learnt all that yesterday and even as an ex-racer I learnt better body position for the lefthand side.
Funny - cus thats exactly how it feels when you hit the cowshit/diesel/grit, etc.

I take your point, about how it feels & what can be done when you high side or the front end lets go but tbh imo there's not a lot many can do except clench & tense, in the few milliseconds before you hit the tarmac or worse, anyway Hammy as they say you pays your money you takes your pick, hope you had a great time :icon_thumleft:
