Wife been away for a couple of days, headland bulb blew so popped to halfords in newbury for some help, got charged 9.99 for the bulb and 6.00 to fit the bloody thing. Piss taking or what.

We buy that type of bulb for 1.67 each at work, it's fitted in just a couple of minutes and couldn't DIY it as I'm 150 miles away.

as said, she didnt have to go to halfords, plenty of places charge less

infact I work at a Volkswagen dealership, we fit bulbs for free as long as you buy the bulb from us (and no they are not overly priced either)

plenty of other dealerships do this too

they do when you offer a fair more wider range of services, halfords dont and as stated can you imagine how many bulbs in a year halfords must fit, yes its not cheap, but it is also a business that doesn't make money as easily as automotive dealerships
