2 stroke crank rebuild !
« on: September 14, 2010, 09:56:43 PM »

Hi
Could any body give me some advice on where or who rebuilds 2 stroke crank shafts, its for a Suzuki GT550! I know Stan stevens still does it, but looking to get some quotes to see which way to go!
Does any body have any experience with Suzuki GT550 / 380 specifically the auto lube system?

  Cheers

SEP  - http://www.sep-kegworth.co.uk/page1.htm

PJME - http://www.pjme.co.uk/acatalog/Crank_Shaft_Rebuilding.html

Can't really help you on the GT380/550 though, I know some folk love em, but they always struck me as a somewhat tame alternative to the badass Kwaka triples & I was at a very impressionable age at the time they were on the market.  :glasses9:

There's bound to be some sort of owners club/forum out there though, that'd probably be your best bet for specific advice.

I don't know if they still do crank rebuilds, but I used to get my 350LC crank rebuilt at Grampian Motors, Musker Street, Crosby.

Mmmmmm Allspeeds, I had chrome ones on my 350LC and matt black three into three on my GT750A Suzuki Kettle, a lovely set of pipes.
