the helmet in the shop was an Xpeed and although it was severely scrubbed it didn't break. I have heard of helmets like the one Nutz had splitting in two. You'r very lucky to be alive M8

Why do people say that helmet must be good because it's used by motogp, wsb. etc etc riders.    They are professional riders and get sponsered to wear a particular lid.

i also very much doubt the lids the moto gp etc boys are wearing are the same as we can get in the shops, for starters id say they are custom made to the riders head so its a perfect fit and more then likely made of carbon fiber to be as light as poss but as strong as poss

bull shit i think .....there are guys on this site that race and do they get special lids ...lets ask them a .  yes they get sponsored and yes they get a helmet that fits perfect in there size ... if you go in a shop and get a helmet that fits but not that good then you have the wrong helmet .

 :iamwithstupid: +1

Also,  the helmets that Arai supply to it's sponsored riders are Japanese market ones & designed to meet the Japanese safety stds, they also do different shells for the US & European stds that are 'optomised' to meet the different tests that the EC & Snell perform.  So although they all look the same, a Japanese market RX-7 is different to a European Rx-7 which in turn is different to a US market RX-7.
