Hi all - New and wanting to get dream ZX10R bike

Hi all,

I'm finally reaching the end of my restricted license but have been driving bike for 6 years (long story).

A Kwaker Green 07 ZX10R has always been my aim when I eventually upgrade from my current SV650S.

Anything in particular I should look out for when buying this particular year/model?

Ideally I would like to but one with carbon Akras fitted but I like modding bikes so may end up going a totally different route. Either way, its gotta be Green!

Plan on making the purchase in the next 6 months to a year so I'll be reading lots here to make sure I know what to look for.

I would insist that you have your front forks upgraded with 20mm Ohlins inserts....

Or just buy a pair that I have sat in my garage ready and waiting to go  [rofl]

Welcome bud and the first money should always be on suspension.
The set R1flyguy has are very very good and will drop straight into an 07 as thats what they came from  [whistle]

welcome and the most important thing to remember is the the D models aren't actually ninja's they're 'barras  :icon_thumright:

just buy and enjoy  :icon_thumright:

Not sure I understand that one but pretty sure ill find out soon. Think you mean Wheel 'barras  :emb:

If thats the case, yup, one of the big attractions for me is the twin pipes either side of the rear.

Cheers r1flyguy, ill wait till i get the bike before i start the upgrades. Its funny cause I just upgraded my SV shock to one from a ZX10R 07. Maybe ill buy one part by part  :crybaby2:

Unfortunately mate, what ever you do buy for it, the first thing you'll wish you did upgrade is the shite front brakes. Other than them I can't fault mine.

Mind if you're getting one of the slower green ones they might not be a problem  :glasses9:
