Hi was on the way to a near by town and was on a 60 road noticed a mobile speed van on my side of the road with a gun out the back not to sure on my speed was between 60 70 there was a car in front of me which braked hard so i must have slowed down anyway i turend of to the right just before the van is there anyway if i was going a tad fast it would have got me as you dont have a plate on the front

You should be ok, the vans as you say need to get the plate. Different if you were going for it and went past the van.

think i was level with it as i turend off dose the vans have a camer at the front or just mr plod takeing down the plates would it also get me i i was behind a car before i turend

With the old "3 mph + 10%" rule you should be okay, most scamera's are set at 6 mph (ish) over the limit as not everyone's speedo is 100% accurate.

Sorry to piss on your bonfire lads, but they can still get your plate....they are manned vans and if you break the radar, they can still record you plate....manually!

The only reason I know this, is I was done in Corby about 5 yrs ago on my old SV in pretty much the same situation as described.  So you've been warned....

I am not saying you will definitely have been caught, but its worth bearing in mind.
