As a few of you know, my ZX-10R was recently sent down the road by moi and I sustained a serious injury.

I've got absolutely no plans whatsoever to get rid of the bike or give up riding, not an option for me. I'm going to try and kit the bike out with the intentions to use on the road when safe to do so (daytime MOT). I'll be using this thread to keep those interested in the resurrection, informed of the progress I'm making.

Here are the pics just after the crash:











Damage wise, there was quite a bit;

Instruments
Fairings
Headlights
Exhaust
Immobiliser
Screen
Swingarm
Pulsing cover
Bottom yoke
Front brake lever
Rear brake lever + footrest hanger

At the moment, John at Orrell Park Motorcycles has got the bike and he has repaired the imobiliser and fitted a new pulsing cover. The bike now starts and runs fine.

Today I also aquired a 08/09 swingarm from andicog, so I'm gonna do the popular swap instead of fitting another 04/05 one. Andi has done a great job removing the paint and has left it with a lovely satin finish. Thanks again Andi   Pics:

Gonna drop the swingarm off to the bike tomorrow and get that fitted along with the bottom yoke. As I progress more, I'll post the details/pics up

The unpainted 08/09 swingarm looks good in the satin finish. Good to see that you are not giving up bikes. Will be interesting to see the bike as it evolves.

beofre you start make sure that you check that the frame welds, top and bottom are intact as they do seem to split very easily

glad to c ur ok u just beat me to the swingarm hope it goes well any help needed gis a shout got a few bits knocking about screen exhausts throttle cables etc carbon clock as well ooooohhhhhhh    steve

Didn't even know it was Andi off here who was selling it until I went round to his house to collect it. Spotted the wrap on the back of his bike and the racefit!

I've not got much to do at the mo so I'll be another set of eyes for you looking for another swingarm

I was very tempted when I saw andicog selling that swing arm, it does look like he did a real good job cleaning it up, good to see its gone to a forum member in need

Cheers for the offer, Andi. Orrell Park are swapping it for me as I've still got this meccano on my leg. Not getting charged though
