Disappearing Smileys and Icons ?
« on: June 12, 2010, 03:43:05 PM »

Is it just me - or are the emoticons disappearing at an increasing rate ?

I lost the smiley and wink icons a while back - now the thumbsup seems to have vanished as well ...... :icon_scratch:

If I click the [more] tab - I see that cheesy, grin, Angry, Sad, shocked, cool, Huh?, Roll Eyes, Embarrassed, Lips Sealed, Undecided, Kiss, Cry, Evil, Azn (whatever the fook that is?) Afro, occasion13, evil5, are also missing. I see the words but not the icon. ....

Who's nicked 'em then ?  :cussing:

Nope - the ones that are just titles by description are always missing.  For example - if I click on this :( (I am assuming you guys will actually see the emoticon there and not the : ( text that created it )  all I see when I post the message is the word sad .....  but not the emoticon itself - most puzzling

Maybe its a Firefox thing - are you guys that see them all using Explorer or Firefox ?

This gets weirder. If I come to the site using Explorer, I can then see the icons OK - but as soon as I log in using my name and password to reply to a post - they disappear again and become red crosses .......

Here is what I am seeing right now as I post this reply ......

Sussed it ..........

It needed the [Current Smiley Set] setting in my profile altering.

For some reason it was set to [view lots]. I altered it to the [default] setting and I can now see all smileys again :)

So if anyone else runs across this anomaly - that's what ya need to do  :icon_thumleft:
