RIP mate, also an eye opener as to how fragile we are and how these machines can kill us :crybaby2:

Ian, we didn't know each other, and even though I've only been here a short while, through this forum I feel like I did. Wherever you are I hope you're having fun and are safe.
My sincerest best wishes to your wife, family and also your friends.

RIP

Just logged back in to zx10r.co.uk after over a month away and I just want to add how shocked and saddened I am to read of Ian's death. I posted following Ian's accident and was rhinking of him as I logged-in. I'm truly upset to read of his passing.

I never met Ian, but I read his posts, and he was a fellow biker - someone who I would have got on with and had a natural affinity with, of that I have no doubt (us bikers always do). For one of our own to be taken from us can only sadden us, and remind us of why we bike and take such risks- and just how much our loved ones mean to us. We do it 'cause we love it, and it makes us feel alive. There is no better feeling in the world than arriving home after being out on the bike and your loved one asking "good ride, love?" We ride to feel alive, but riding makes us appreciate those we love even more.

Julie. I hope you can stay strong. Ian was a good guy - the number of responses on this site bear testiment to that, but to ride bikes is not to deny or to hurt those we love, it is to re-affirm our commitment to living life to the full. I hope, in time, that the memory of Ian's passion for life serves to keep you warm.

Thanks to everyone who's contributed to Ian's memory. ZX10R.co.uk is a site full of really caring people. I will make my contribution to justgiving this weekend.

RIP.

Just logged back in after some little time away - just been sooo busy it's the first opportunity I've had !

Got to say I am absolutely gutted to hear of the loss of Ian . I have always got some smart comment or " repartis " to add to most threads but this one truely has me sat on the sofa with tears in my eyes !

I never met Ian but I know of him through this wonderful site and it warms me to the bones to know he was well loved and respected by fellow " 10'ers "

Mark ( PSG1 ) has summed it all up in one post and my heart goes out to Ian's familly and closest at this very difficult time .

I won't get all silly saying things like " ride safe " coz I know most of us " have our moments " but please keep as safe a possible guys as I really don't wana lose another  B-)

Love and luck fellow riders  :occasion14:
