Great looking bike I have been thinking of getting one through the scheme if you dont mind me asking how much is this one and what does it ride like.

Oh and do they do green or worst case scenario black... I can already see they do white  [whistle]

Nice  :icon_thumright:

Down to personal pref. I would get some clip-ons though so much better peddling up and down (if you've not used them before there will be a few scary moments first couple of times you stop  [whistle] )

clipless or flats pal ?

clipless -  I run crank brothers but they don't last and Shimano XT are highly rated

flats - DMR v8's all the way orV12's if you feel flush  :icon_thumright:

i like to feel clipped in as on the bumpy stuff you don't have to worry about slipping etc

however it's a personal preference and you are prone to falling over etc if you can't disengage fast enough, Andy used to fall all of the time but no more as he's sorted now   :icon_thumright:

Then you need shoes for cleats too  ;-)

Ilike the crank brothers stuff simply because i can unclip so easilyand they clear mud well, however the XT pedals have top reviews  :headbang:

Crank brothers cheapies like i have

as Andy said its personal preference Chris.  i like platform pedals DRM V8 so i can still land on me feet .....try-ed clipons fffffffunking scary when you cant get off in time  :tongue3:

id say see if you can try them out first (if you know someone with them that has the same size feet of course ) its a lot of money to spend just to find there not for you  :dontknow:
