We have been over to France a few times, most important thing is give one of the other riders with you a copy of all your documents and a spare key

ps Don't forget your EU health card

U dont need a hi vis on a bike. why are you not doing Le Mans gp? it is on the way back get a crossing for the next day, you can alter times if you phone. I changed mine from the monday to tuesday at no extra cost

there's lots of info here :-

http://bikeclubfrance.com

a downloadable check list of things you have to have and some suggestions, this will be updated soon :-

http://bikeclubfrance.com/index.php?ind=downloads&op=section_view&idev=1

another part of the site worth checking out :-

http://www.bikeclubfrance.com/index.php?pid=10

word of warning Le Mans week and the one before and after, the local mayor and police have a clamp down on folk riding badly and also folk drinking. If you get caught doing silly things on your bike they will most likely take it off you and you have to wait till the court case which can take ages, before / if,  the judge lets you have your bike back !

anything over 40 / 50 KPH over limit also risks having your bike taken away in France.
