Going to France
« on: May 10, 2010, 10:20:34 PM »

Hello, a group of us are off to France next week, could anyone who knows tell me what we must take.
I know bike paperwork etc, but been told we need,

* warning triangle
* first aid kit
* reflective jacket
* bulb kit
* rubber glover  :?: (WTF, are they doing  road side anal examinations)

Please let me know what you know is correct, not what your mate said etc. Can see the point of a bulb kit, but unless your in a car, cant see the point of the other stuff. thanks

Have a browse of the AA website

there is a PDF doc. on there that gives you a full list of requirements mandatory and recommended.

I have it on my laptop so if you want a copy for peace of mind pm me your email address and I'll send you it

other than that what the lads say above is quite right,

I thought Hi Vis vests for all occupants/riders were a legal requirement now over there for if you break down ?

Hey I am going next week as well, 10th year running for the motogp. I take all my paperwork,including paper counterpart if you have a photie licence. I know you need a hi vis in a car but not sure if you need one for a bike. When are you leaving and how are you getting across, tunnel or ferry?

We are going next Wednesday, back on Sunday.
Going to a place called Moutier-Malcard a little south of Chateauroux, not exactly sure why I chose there, probably coz it close to the Millau Viaduct.
Think it's going to be some hard miles, but did Italy and back in 3 days on a gsxr600, my arse still has nightmares  :shock:
