Went out for a blast with several mates today, took the road from Crediton to Barnstaple, was having a ball, gorgeous weather, relatively few cars, super grippy Corsas doin' their stuff when one of my muckers on his ZX6R misjudged a corner, crossed a white line and hit an on coming car. Fuck I feel sick writing this, just waiting for word on how he is. Luckily, if that is the right description, there was a Dr and a paramedic in cars following him. They worked like Trojans, stabilised, comforted and did all the right things until the ambulance arrived. He took a severe knock to the head when he hit the windscreen and the rest is thought to be internal, as I say, as I write this we're just waiting for news of his condition.
Obviously, the bike was a right off, everything is smashed.......the car, a Megane people carrier had the offside wing ripped off, the wheel was also torn off the drive shaft and loads of other offside damage. Went to see how they were as people seemed to be forgetting about them, but they didn't really want to talk to another biker, so left them alone. Hope they are OK, it was the kids in the car I was more concerned about than the parents, still, hope they are ok.
Will post more reports as and when I get them about Nick, god willing he'll be alright, but sitting here typing this I feel on a bit of a downer. Got to fly to Sweden tomorrow morning for a family holiday, don't really feel like it as it is......
