Talk to WIll and mention my name - the real one  [whistle]
He does front of house and Kev is the spanner specialist. It was Kev that did all the internal work on my shock.

Personally wouldnt use FTR again even though there less than 20 mins from me.

When they fitted the k-tech 25mm kit in my forks they managed to damage the fork tops quite badly. When I questioned them about it they denied doing it even though I'd had the bike from new and the forks had never been apart. When I asked for new fork tops Kev got a right little girlie strop on and stormed off while I was halfway through talking with him.

If they had owned up to it,like any good company would, all would have been well and I would have been happy to use them/recommend them again. As they denied it I will never darken their door again and will tell anyone who listens about my piss poor experience.I will go down the road to MCT instead.

This is just based on my personal experience and if you do use them I hope yours is better than mine.

Hi Guys

Not sure if the info i was given is true or not but Harris are no longer an approved Ohlins outlet.
Can't see why they would have lost that if it is true  :-S

Sorry it's sort of off topic but was wondering anyway ;-)

Regards
Rick

I'm very suprised that you had issues with FTR.
They swapped out my shock under warranty when it didn't need to be and have serviced stuff loads of times and its always been spotless.
Loads of advice on the phone whenever and happy to divert work elsewhere too if need be.
The fact that the WP guys who were made redundant in the buyout(Yacouga) have them as they dealer and that Ohlins have given them the rights now says more for them than others.

Maybe I just got him on a bad day??

Or maybe not as when I posted my experience on the PB forum around a half dozen people commented on how they had a similar experience??

There were a couple of young lads working in there at the time so maybe one of these damaged my forks and Kev was trying to save face instead of admitting what had happened and doing the right thing??

Anyway, only my own personal experience and the outcome and my feeling are still the same.
