Ive been watching this thread since it started, telling myself "Dont get involved!" but fuck it, im  gonna have my rant!

Theres no point giving superbikes to the old bill cos none of them can ride worth a shit and you cant nerf a Saxo off the road with a Ducati.
As for the argument about if you exceed speed limits, you ARE a criminal, hands up anyone on this site who isnt a criminal! Anyone?
Im sure the majority of us have done 150+ on public roads. Do you feel that you are a menace to society and should go to prison for it?
Theres a little chavvy twat in this area who has just been sent to prison on his 20th offence. Numerous asbos etc, proper little pain in the fucking arse but the legal system left him to roam free 'til he beat some poor bastard half to death. If only he had been caught speeding he would have been sent straight to jail, do not pass go, get ass raped in the showers.
Where is the justice and logic in our legal system?
I know there will be a lot of coppers out there who will argue that "we dont make the laws, we just uphold them". Well, you are the grass roots of the system, have the balls to stand up and say "this isnt right, it should be changed".
Rant over (for now) and, breathe!

Lol give the man a pill he's going green  :tongue3:

Is that an 848 or 1198?  There are such beautiful machines though...

its an 848.
Awsome bike. I think I may regret gettind rid of mine, But my new ride is equaly stunning (I think so anyway)

sorry its not a kawasaki. I've had them and I'd have another but for the minute I like the v twin thing. I'm not a quick rider but the twin somehow helps me keep up with the rest of the group. Think its due to the way it shoots out of corners (slow in fast out). If only I could go fast in fast out I'd be laughing

My point being, if you get caught for speeding then don't come on a forum chatting brown about the police should be doing this and that not stopping me for being a twat at 150 mph

I also never said I don't speed, I've just been lucky enough to not yet be caught but if I do then that's my own fault, yes I might not be happy but shit happens, I did the speed and take the punishment that's coming rather then go on the Internet trying to drum up support to make myself feel better and less of a cock

I shouldnt really reply to that but I will...............briefly. I think the speed limit(s)  in this country  are about right. I'm a motorist and a biker and 90% of my fun on a bike is below the 60 limit on the twisties, just like the majority of bikers. If I want a bit more of a thrill I book myself into the fast  group on a trackday (even though I cant ride for shit).  :-P

I think the point of the post was to show, Bike dealers support road Safety !!    Same thing up here the local kawasaki dealer gave them a new 10r  for the safety compain !!!

The statement that jamma post about chavs ect.... Also think he is correct  the police should have a bit of Commonsense, but the LAW's  a Arse anyway !!!!         Go to jail for doing over 120 mph.........     Countrys a joke  :-/

Theres to many do Gooders  ....................

And then in me! Yum!

Got a bit of a rant on there didnt i? :emb: I wasnt trying to say we should be allowed to speed. Just that the punishment should fit the crime. A hefty fine and a sack of points should do it if no one is harmed or endangered.
Also, i dont have an axe to grind about being pulled numerous times. I have a clean licence and have only been stopped twice in the last 12 years of riding litre sportsbikes. Once for a roadside spot check and once for an undersized no. plate.
My real beef is with the legal systems seemingly tolerant attitude to the real scum of society whilst throwing the book at motorists and motorcyclists in particular.

Oh never mind, ill get me coat!

Hmmm! Race sounds like fun tho!

totally agree that motorists well bikers esp get the complete shitty end of the stick, but its because we are an easy target and yet we still choose to do it  [whistle] [whistle] [whistle]
