but what i can say, Ian will so sadly be missed he truely was a gent , a geniunely nice person , a smile and a bit of banter always greeted you at hg , he had a true love of life , and was deffinately biking to the core , the memories will always be of Ian being a top man
im still lost for words and wish i could write loads more , my thoughts are very much with julie and Ians family

I didnt know Ian but had a cpl of dealings with him on here, seemed he just wanted to help fellow bikers with a wealth of knowledge and massive enthusiasm for biking.
.
RIP Ian, thoughts are with family and friends at this awful time.
.
The biking community has lost a gent.
.
hope im not out of line by suggesting a forum day in aid of Ians family and to remind us all why we RIDE (for the good times) make it a good day n a way of a good send off from the forum.

Great idea...will speak to the guys and see what we could do.  As already mentioned we are planning on doing something for the funeral or his wife Julie but just waiting for details.

I feel Silky that maybe a 21 can salute might be in order if Julie and family are in agreement?
I have no problem giving him a good 12k rpm send off. [pray] [pray] [pray]

Guys
Been to see Julie earlier, Firstly Julie would like to thank you all for your sincere and thoughtful comments "Julies words" She has been touched by the response from you all on here and she checks in daily to read them.
Julie has spoken regarding arangements for Ian, At the moment no funeral date is set as it is a bank holiday and wont be meeting with the undertaker until Tuesday so as soon as i know i will post it on the site. A poster will be put up in store and also in the other local bike shops where Ian was well known A few people have mentioned collections and flowers, At the moment there might be two or three charitys where donations would be gladly accepted. those of you that know Ian, Will be aware that Ian leaves behind twin thirteen yr old girls that both have learning difficultys so the charitys will benefit them and other children/people in there situation. Another thing that has been mentioned is the cars maybe coming to HG in Stoke then off to the crematorium. Julie is asking people to go on there bikes, and meet at the store As you all know Ian loved his bikes and wouldnt have it any other way.
Another thing that has been mentioned is a ride out in to remember and honour Ian.
At this moment in time this is all things that have been mentioned and not confirmed, as i said earlier details will be confirmed after the meeting with the undertaker,

Getting back to the night with Julie, it was lovely to see Julie and to see the support she has around her at this Julie has from hre family at this time. We all had a coffee, good chat, few welled up eyes threw sadness and a few tears of laughter reminising on the good times.
As i said earlier, Julie is really apreciative of the thoughts sentiments and comments on here, so from me thank you all.
Will keep you guys updated as soon as i know anything, ride safe lads n lasses.
