midland superbikes.
« on: April 13, 2010, 09:10:47 PM »

i thought seeing as there a few tales of poor service etc on here at the moment id share mine with you, now im not for one min trying to say you shouldnt use midland superbikes as you have to make up your own minds and i dont want this to appear liable but i thought id share my displeasure with you.

1. mid jan agreed a price on a 09 honda fireblade with my 56 zx10 as part exchange (they would settle my existing finance and use the rest as a deposit), the fireblade comes with extra,s fitted and the original bits also.
2.swop the zx10 and pick up the blade, all is good, paperwork all signed, log book swapped, but no original parts ( apparently they are still with the original owner) i arrange to pick them up the following week.
3. following week still no parts (exhaust, seat unit, and baffle for the scorpion exhaust which is fitted) they will be with them next week as the old owner is struggling to get them to them.
4. go back the following week and i am given the seat unit but no exhaust, " ithought you took that with you" was what i was told! after discussions the exhaust im told along with the baffle will be with them soon and they will call me as soon as it arives.
5.2 weeks later i call in to see if they have arrived and yep theres the exhaust, they apparently had it all the time but hadnt got round to calling me, still no baffle though! they will look for the baffle and get back to me.
6.approx 1 week later and over 5 weeks since i bought the bike i recieve a call from my old finance company asking why i have cancelled the direct debit and not made payment, i explain that the finance was cleared by tmidland superbikes as i have now sold the bike and bought a new one, they inform me that they have recieved no settlement from midland superbikes.
7.call midland superbikes and they tell me that a cheque was posted and that they would sort out the problem,i said i would call back at the end of the week to ensure it had been dealt with.
8.call fince company and they inform me that no cheque has arrived and that the debt is still outstanding, call midland back and they ay theywill sort it and get back to me, they never did.
9.2 weeks later i call round to midland superbikes after another call from my finance company to say that they havnt been paid, sit at the desk and refuse to move untill they sort out the problem there and then, i make them call the finance company and explaint ot threm what there plan of action is.
9. 2 weeks later i recieve a notice of default from the finance company stating that i have now missed 2 monthly payments.
10.finally get a call 2 days after recieving the letter to say my finance has been cleared, and finally my baffles turn up! all is now sorted and fine i think and i can settle down to enjoy my new bike.
11. tonight im sorting out my paperwork and i suddenly realise that ive not recieved my log book yet, i make the call to the dvla and they tell me that they have never recieved the v5 document and that it is not registered in my name! basically midland superbikes havnt sent it off!! ..guess where im going tomorrow!!

i,l leave iup to you to decide if you want to have any dealings with them!

Had a mate who bought an Aprillia Caponord from them and even though the bike was ok the service he received was crap to put it politely. always gettin fobbed off all the time.

I have been over there a few times and theres something about the place that puts me off buying from there.

Sounds like another dealership of the list

You would have thought in a time of the ' Credit Crunch' they would be very customer focused, BIG MISTAKE  :pottytrain2:

its clear now mate, i did actually tell them i was in contact with you over the internet maybe that pushed them into getting it sorted.
went back in there today to sort out the lost log book, and i was told that a package containing approx 40 of them was returned to them by the royal mail because it had become damaged in transit.... it apparently was resent out last monday .....i will wait and see, if ive heard nothing in 2 weeks or so then i,l be back in to see them.

hope the 10 is entertaining you big g !! :icon_thumright:
