well went to the dealers this morning and his response was that he would get the tank repainted by a different company, but tbh im no happy with that as the rest of the paint is shite...

i spent a good hour going over the paintwork this morning before i went and its shite they have missed abit on the rear tailunit and on the right handside fairing you can see primer in the corner.

i told him that i either want another bike and ill use this one till its done or ill have the bike i have but i want it completly re-painted by another company.

i know what you guys are saying about getting my money back but i love the rc8 and there isnt another bike at the mo that takes my fancy

i have obviously done some bad deed and being repayed for it guess what the rc8 is going back AGAIN 

now the paint is starting to flake off on the tank

i dont know what the fuck to do now

so in the 3/4weeks ive had it its been :

gear shifter jammed
tail light stopped working
shite in the tank
broken swingarm
and now the paint coming off

it was dream machine that painted it so i guess its their problem

gutted for you dude

gear shifter, tail light and swingarm yes KTM's fault

poor paint ans shit prep/workman ship on the paint side isn't KTM's fault but can totally see your woes

personally i'd ask for a full respray by a better company and then take the bike from there, this is the problem with outside companies being subcontracted to do work is they can never be 100% as factory work

hope its sorted soon bud

thats what im asking for mate id be happy with a respray by another company ie like altumra or someone else

Hi Mate

One of my buddies has a 58 plate RC8 in dream machine Red Bull Colours and he has had no problems at all

I think you have just been unlucky

He did have to send the fairings back to DM though as they put the bull's tails in different positions and he made them do it again

Superb bike & i think you will love it when it gets it's self sorted
Guessing the dealer is the reason lots of bits stopped working as he didn't reasemble it correctly after paintwork came back.

Obv apart from crack in swing arm (mates is fine as far as i can see.

if thats the case then i'd be even more pissed off and be demanding it to be done by a better company

thats what im going to be doing first thing monday morning when the dealer gets back to me

ok bit of an update went to the dealer on monday and basically told him straight that the paintwork is shite and so on so he gets on the phone to dream machine and demands that someone gets down to the bike to have a look...... so 4 hrs later dm turn up and they say ok yeah its shite we will fix it.

now i said to the dealer i wasnt happy about dm re-doing the paint but he says that he has to give em a chance to rectify the paint. so at this point im getting pretty pissed and then the dood from dm says ok you will see the bike in 4 weeks when its done...

4 weeks without a bike.

it turns out that ktm have a deal with dm doing all the redbull paint jobs so if i want another new bike it will be painted again by dm
