hi guys n gals
im doing a bit of market research and wanted a bit of feedback and opinions from a good range of customers.

as everyone is aware money is tight across the board,
what makes you visit one dealer over another to look at clothes,helmets and accesories particular.?

what deals,special offers or special events would make you visit one of our shops more often??

i flag up when we have things on offer over the year and im sure some of you find this of interest and some think im just peddling my wares yet again..

i want to put some suggestions forward to head office on what "real" customers want from us and not just what a marketing person suggests....

please can you take a couple of minutes to give me some valuable feedback and ideas...

Alright Ian for me a shop that would make me visit regular is good parking so you can park outside the shop,tea and coffee available,good choice of clothing,helmets and accesories and being good value for money also the people selling the shops goods to be bikers and know what they are talking about and thats it really,we have a few bike shops in warrington and surrounding area and the bigger shops with all the above always seem busy

weve already got a big car park with good parking for bikes and cars.
situated on a good main road opposite the areas biggest dealer
coffee and tea always available with a kettle and cups and we dont even charge for it..

the sun will bring more people out too .

but what sort of offers would tempt money out of your wallett while you were in having a brew??

Hi Ian. Mate at work has tried to order some oil over the phone and his local Hein Gericke in Bristol said they can only send it out in 1L cans now, even though he has had 4L sent in the past. Is this now HG policy?

no

it may be they dont have any 4l in stock..??

tell him to call me and i`ll send it out for him.were selling loads of our oil deal at the minute and stocks are always low as the makers cant get it to us quick enough.

like someone just said " staff who know what they are on about and know the products " no offence but my local hein gericke dont have a clue ive stopped going in there just for that reason you ask em a question or a query and they just look at you like uve got 3 heads

to be honest i went into your leicester shop the other week and had a look round, i was actually after pricing up some 2 peice leathers, but i was surprised at how little ws on offer to the customer, the assistant said they where waiting for new 2010 stock to arrive,that didnt exactly help me on the day though and i left without trying any of the "few" sets they had left on as they never had my size either. on a plus note the assistant was knowledagable and as helpfull as he could be and i was also pleased to see you now do the interest free credit over 12month which may tempt me into buying the more expensive leathers.
for me the best way to get me coming back is to ensure your range is always well stocked so i have plenty of options,and more of the 20% off deals like you had last year.

Well having been to Ian's shop, and also my local one in Chester, I have nothing but good things to say about both places. Both are very helpful and knowledgeable and are worth a visit

my opinion is

- the shops and products are excellent from service through to price

- we are a nation that like to see prices and offers without having to ask 

- maybe focus on the smaller items and run clearly promoted offers for those with clear end dates to draw temptation
there are lots of small consumables that i don't easily see the prices and offers for (we like to see what we save rather than spend  )

- events are always a great money spinner as you know  and maybe customer/bike of the month 

- for sale boards, picture boards to show off  members bikes and a monthly late night to invite after an evening ride is a good one perhaps ,if they don't buy they can take an offer leaflet

  all what andy said .......some late night openings maybe till 10....11 pm so all us sods that work all day don't have to keep waiting till the dam weekend    i know that means you guys in the shops have to work late but perhaps for just one day in the week like  Wednesday's late night opening and the staff could rota ther times
