Whilst fitting a Racefit Growler and RB tail tidy to my white 09 offers obvious improvements to the bike's look, sound and performance, the best mod has to be finally sorting out the suspension. Rear rider sag to 35mm, and crucially backing off the standard preload settings on my forks with compression/rebound settings dialled in to control..........what a difference.......  :headbang:

I surprised no one has said having their suspension adjusted has been their best mod. I got it done at H and M racing in Green St Green soon after buying my bike. I have also had the steering damper uprated (K-Tec) but with the suspension change's I've had done I barely need to have it turned on, even on bumpy roads! :headbang:

The difference is amazing with the suspension set up properly, even hitting bumps mid corner doesn't unsettle it. Even before getting the steering damper done -the damper only really masks the inadequate set-up after all- you should be thinking about this.

Just my 2p worth.   :icon_thumright:

Agreed :icon_thumright:

What are your settings?

Road/track?

Front:
Preload
compression
rebound

Rear

Rider sag
preload depth of thread exposed
compression turns out
rebound turns out
tyre pressures

As noted in my comment above....massive difference with my front preload backed out to 6 rings showing with 5/6 for compress/rebound
Still to resolve rear but currently set to 35mm rear sag and 3/4 c/r
