iPhone: who has one? Did you got 16Gb or 32GB
« on: March 24, 2010, 04:15:06 PM »

Right....biting the bullet despite ripping feck out of my colleagues for months....ordering a new iPhone tomorrow?

But unsure which one to get...16Gb or 32Gb?  I won't put much music on it, as I have two ipods that I use for gym (and they are both 120Gb+ anyway) but am going to use apps etc.

Any comments, suggestions etc?  (Other than Don't..lol)

Didn't know what everyoe was talkng about regarding this phone untill I upgraded my Blackberry Storm to a 16g Iphone last week, wish I had done it ages ago.  :icon_thumleft:

Don't think you need the 32g unless a lot of videos being stored.

I've got a 16gb 3gs with about 250 songs and around 100 apps and i've not used half of my memory. You really don't need 32gb if you're not gonna fill it with movies

16Gb here, and same situation using an iPod for tunes.

Could be worth researching when they plan to release the 4G. I bought a 3G 2 months before the 3Gs was announced = gutted.

Also....check out the HTC....Apple have taken several law suits out on the makers as they have clearly ripped off most of the iPhone ideas.....a better phone IMO.

Dave

Still got it mate....am on my second one.  Had the HTC TyTn II and then the Touch HD.  Absolutely love the Touch HD, and whats worse is I just upgraded the firmware to the latest version and its soooo much better.  Only taken my 4 months of slagging it off to release this update was available.  DoH!!

To be honest...I would love the HD2, but everyone I know says underneath its still WM6.  If you upgrade to the HTC Sense plugin, and Windows Mobile 6.5 it does look snazzy.  But having a ferrari shell with a lada engine doesn't make it a ferrari. ;-)  And everyone I know who has a HD or HD2, has tried since they got it to make it look and work like the iPhone.  So why not just get an iPhone.

As for releasing the new xG Model, I've never been a bleeding edge kind of guy.  I work in IT, and always believe tried and tested, and after a few firmware tweeks something is much better than straight of the prod line.  Anyone who ever dealt with It equipment knows this to their peril!!!

Looks like its the 16gb for me then....think it will be plenty. Wahoo....roll on tomorrow morning!

Thanks for all your input though guys and gals...thats what this interweb thingy is all about  :headbang:

Got a 16GB 3GS, factory unlocked and use it all over the place, I find it very useful and probable don't use 50% of it's capability but what i do use I cannot complain with it ease of use and user friendly controls  :headbang:
