ACU sticker
« on: March 21, 2010, 08:01:19 PM »

AS anyone ever been refused to be allowed on track at any British circuit for not having an ACU sticker on there lid?

Not for racing, but a normal everyday track day?

I've asked all my mates and they haven't, one even has a custom paint job so the ACU sticker was removed anyway. and My Schuberth S1 hasn't got one as its ECE 20 tested.

Any decent scrutineer should have a list of all approved helmets. The ACU gold sticker thing is a bag of bollox anyway. There is no actual testing goes on like there is with SHARP, BSI or ECE - it's just a money making exercise for the ACU.

You can generally buy ACU gold stickers from Ebay anyway - that's how secure the standard is ........
