heated vest
« on: March 14, 2010, 04:09:39 PM »

i saw a heated vest in one of the bike mags a few weeks and am struggling to find it.
it was a battery powered one that lasts 12 - 14 hours off one charge,no plugging into bike required.
does anybody know what i'm talking about and what it's called?
cheers,paul

Thats very low wattage - the best one out there is made by EXO2 - it uses a carbon fabric, so no wires to fracture and it self regulates at 50 degrees. You actually need the optional controller as its too hot. Comes with a Li-ino battery that runs the kidnet area off the bike, hard wired on.

Its completely windproofas the vest is made by Keela with the Exo2 core - its the same stuff that Berghaus now use in their stuff for the Royal Marines and Everst, etc.
You can put it in the wash it when it gets dirty - don't know of any others that you can do that with.
