MCN road test
« on: March 11, 2010, 10:42:06 AM »

The Jap bikes didn't seem to do themselves justice . What a crap article that was! ZX10 STILL posted 3 rd fastest lap, but it was judged on avarage times. look at the price differences as well...throw a couple of grand at the last 5 and I'M sure things would have been a lot different. I know it the test was about which was the quickest  litre sports bike round a track in standard, out of the box state, that you can buy.  And  Yamaha from bike of the year to back marker? What are your views?
What was the calibre of all the test riders?

I think BMW obviously paid MCN'd wages this week, I'm sure the BMW is good, but like you say its bloody expensive, at the end of the day its what you're happy with and I think the ZX10R and R1 are by far the most aggresive looking and sounding bikes out there. Hopefully with Chris Vermuelen on board he can start getting a few podium finishes this year, ahead of the BMW and the R1. :icon_thumright:

The annual Masterbike test was won by the zx10r in 2005 & 2006 so it must be the best test ever invented (for those years anyway)  :icon_thumleft:

Is there any such thing as a bad Superbike   :dontknow:

I don't think so  :tongue3:

All the bike reviews are going the same way it would seem, BMW have made a jap bike and put loads of electronics on it, so many in fact I wonder if it actually needs someone to sit on it to make it go....................Think I will stick with my ten, I have traction control, its my right hand and a feel for what the bike is doing!!!!

Ignore these testers, they really are not in the real world in my opinion.

nearly 10 grand between the zx10 and the Ducati and only about 2,000th of a second slower....I'd say thats not bad for a mass produced machine. Yes still but MCN but sometimes wonder why :icon_scratch: A few weeks back remember they promised a zx10 special ha ha  that was rubbish as well hmmm [rofl]
