music downloads
« on: April 08, 2010, 08:17:54 AM »

can anyone recommend any good ones? used limewire years ago and it used to have just about any track by any artist ever recorded. Went back on recently and theres hardly anything available without signing up to go pro. Tried I-mesh and Bearshare too but theyre as bad. Most of them now just seem to pop up audio/video clips of the song of youtube, which leads me to my other question - Does anyone know if you can burn the audio track only from these youtube clips onto disc and if so, how? cheers.

Virgin are a complete pain in the arse.

I used to be with them and yeah I did download (but genuinely only a little and staying within my allowed d/l limits) the wankers still kept capping my download speeds. At several points, I was able to achieve a faster download from my mobile phone than I could from my broadband - WTF is that all about, I couldn't even browse let alone download.... ?

I transferred to o2 who are cheaper, faster and not a hundredth as vigilant at overseeing usage as Virgin were. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

For downloads I use IPtorrents, fast download speeds and all the torrents are clean.

Cant fault sky unlimited I hammer it in Gbs and as yet not a single word of complaint from them - have previously been kicked by Virgin and BT for ABUSE of ADSL and ISDN before, I was working for BT at the time on their customer servers and they still kicked me - my boss was not impressed.

ONline sharing isnt the same as it was, I used to run Napster music servers in days gone past, now its all gone as everyone is shit scared of getting their gear taken off em or more important sharing something they shouldnt and fighting the judicial to prove their innocence.
