Alien - I used a face mask with twin A2 gas filters, seemed to work okay.
My biggest problem is having no filtered extraction, I get a lot of over-spray settlement, and the smell gets everywhere.

wing46 - racefit can?

Wing - never had a racefit, don't know what they're like?

I've wet sanded and polished everything now, and am pleased that I managed to get all the orange peel out of the lacquer.
time to put it all back together  B-)

zx10rian - I have all the bits I removed from the 9 other than the fairings and headlight.

Took a first ride today while the sun shone a bit, love it apart from the front brake. shocking   either I still have air in there somewhere, or the m/c is shot. I've bled it and bled it , the only place air could be trapped is in the banjos on the m/c, but bleeding those on the bike, next to my new paint is hair raising.
Here's how it looked in the fresh air  B-)
