What's the worst advice you've had from a doc or anyone from the medical profession?

Had a stoater today, bloke at work slammed a truck door on his hand and went to a paramedic who was just next door. His middle finger was huge, very black and looked quite sore, naturally he was concerned it may be broken.

Stand by for advice from NHS paramedic......................quote 'It looks ok to me, it's definately not broken. My best advice would be to grow a moustache and man the fuck up sonny!'   

Honest, I swear he really said this!
