What lube are you guys using ? i cant seem to find one that doesnt get all over the back wheel and i just hate that especially after you have just cleaned the bike. There is a few that say they are ant-fling but i have found out that thats not true . The other thing thats not to nice is when you spray them on and they leave your chain all white.

Nothing better than EP50 gear oil - put it on when you get back into the garage while the chain is hot - then by the time you've got leathers, etc off - it'll of soaked in and just wipe off the excess.
Its exactly what the race teams use - no power loss, and nice nad clean, and it actually gets into the chain not just sit on top of it.

I've always used castrol, give the chain a proper clean then dry and coat it in the stuff.  I usually give my chain a proper clean every 250 miles or so that way it stays easy to keep in top nick. Castrol chain cleaner is good stuff though.

I just use a heavy gear oil, put it on with a small brush and wipe the excess off after a while...Tried different chain lubes and just found they made a  big mess

is this stuff actually any good ive always been a bit sceptical of it meself

I use Hein Gerickes Profi Dry chain Lube good stuff doesnt flick off like most lubes!

Always wash the chain in parafin with a soft toothbrush to get out the gritty bits...best to take the wheel off so you can drop the chain into the parafin in a plastic container, dry off and use Wurth dry chain lube . Might try the gear oil next time though

ep80 gear oil wipe it on with a rag when you get back from a ride stinks a bit but is definatly the best lube out there chain waxes and dry lubes just make a mess everywhere grit just sticks to it and accelerates wear and it dont get into the moving parts of the chain

I either use Motorex off road lube, cos it's clear ( I hate white wax) or the Wurth stuff.... both are good lubes and barely fling off.

I'd have to wash my chain every two days

I use Wurth as my main chain lube, with Motul as my second choice.

My last chain and sprockets (ZX6R) lasted 25,000 miles, exactly the same mileage I got from the oem chain and sprockets on the R1.  I usually apply the stuff cold and onto a dirty chain, which is probably a bad thing with alloy sprockets, it forms an abrasive paste, but doesn't matter so much on the oem steel ones.

I use one of those Ketten Max things (well used it once on the 6R), does a good job of cleaning the chain, not used it on the 10 yet, as I've only done 160ish miles so far
