I'm glad you think that all the ZX10R's are great although most of you seem to have the 04/05 model. I will have to check out the comparison threads and will let you know what I buy.

The first time I let it loose and done my gear changing when the gear change light flashed up had me laughing like a mad man, said it before and will say it again, buying my 05 was the best biking decision I have ever made.

Two things I do know about my perspective ZX10R it will be green and it will be riden fast so you needn't worry 'johnmoz'. As for riding like a girl ... I know a few girls who ride faster than most guys, it sounds like there's a few on this site too, eh 'MrsDaddy2Coull'.

Nice one waverider i agree it has to be green and ride it fast but not to sure what the girls are like round your way but here everyone i have seen look like rigamortise has set in when there on a bike also think they must have something wrong with there wrist because i think they dont realise that they are meant to twist the throttle think they are getting it confused with something else zx7r great bike mate i have also had one and loved every minute of it got to be green thou,but when you get your ten its a different ball game just get one you wont regret it

Hello Mate. Enjoy the Site most do.... had 4x zx7r and still have one, not on the same planet power wise, I have an 07 10r, but the ten wont feel as front end planted as the 7r, mainly down to the weight balance. but good luck.

Lol! Yeah I dunno what it is but there are quite a few quick ladies down this end of the country. I put it down to being taught properly by fast boyfriends or fathers or maybe life here is dull and they need a speed fix like the rest of us? I would love to see some girlies riding with rigamortise, that sounds hilarious!

Doesn't matter which model you get, they are all crackin bikes, each bike has it's pros and cons, sit on them, ride them and see which you like best, and can get the best deal with!

Hi mate, as for what model to go for it's up to you. It's all down to personal choice, but the 1st gen's are awesome, pretty flighty and need a steering damper TBH, although a real handfull all the same, the original nutcase.  The 06/07 is more refined and easier to ride either on road or track, a little heavier but a complete rocketship, but still has more than enough raw aggression to whet your appetite, The 08/09 is a leap forward in looks and handling etc and is even easier to ride quick, but needs more revs, just watch out when the needle hits 10,000 plus.

Hi fellow newbie, my first intro into the wonderfull world of the 10R was at the begining of 09 with a high mileage 04 model but you would never have known it when you rode it, I only had it for a few months but they were a great fun few months and I was gutted to have to let it go.
Just before Xmas I treated myself to a new 09 model and although not fully run in yet and the weather being poo since I got it I have had the odd blast.
and to be honest although it's been while since I rode the 04 model, I don't think that is enough difference between these two models for it to be a problem on the road. and if the 06/7 model is as good you definately wont be diapointed whichever you choose.
