Hello to all.
« on: February 11, 2010, 12:57:00 PM »

Hi,

I'm new to this site and would like to say hello to all out there. Currently riding a ZX7R and looking to get a ZX10R. Have read alot about them but was hopping to stick any specific questions on here.

I test rode an 06 ZX10R last weekend, really liked it. Apart from the available power (my right hand is well trained to control) I found it very ridable. Handling was amazing going into corners. Anyway must do some more research as I don't want to buy the wrong one (are the 04/05's really better or just scarrier?) Sorry will post questions in correct place.

I live near Farnham in Surrey and ride where ever and when ever I can.

Regards

Hi and welcome to the forum  :occasion14:

i cant really help with how the different models ride but I bought my 05 ZX10 in October 09, its my first proper sportsbike and was a little bit concerned after reading reviews and forums that it might be the wrong bike to get for a first timer, what I can say now is ITS BLOODY BRILLIANT and I love it.

My first few rides I kept it below 6-7k and found it can be quite a pussy cat and it didnt give me any nasty supprises, when I got comfortable I started to explore its mad side, and it is truly mad

The first time I let it loose and done my gear changing when the gear change light flashed up had me laughing like a mad man, said it before and will say it again, buying my 05 was the best biking decision I have ever made.

I cant wait for warm weather, dry roads, my first track day and learning to ride it properly  :headbang:

Hi welcome :occasion14: Don't think you'll be disapointed in any model. I have an 04/05 which is awsome. have ridden zx7rs and the first thing you will notice is how small and light it is(compaired). ZX7Rs are great bikes but your'e going to love the 10. Look back on this site and there is a topic going comparing various models, obviously there will be a bit of bias out  there but you'll find out what you need to know on this site. Good luck M8 :icon_thumright:
