They were going to be all black but when Mr Kawasaki started out green paint was cheaper than black now he has a few quid hes made the fastest ones black !!!

Nope  your all wrong...originally came from usa where a lady who was involved in K usa copied the colour from a bike she had seen racing. K usa went for it then it caught on after there first success in racing and the commentators called it the green meanie

I agree with Patf, I saw the program (most of it anyway) on the history of Kawasaki.

Yeah I heard this story about her... she    was some 'marketing guru'  looked around the pits saw 'no green ' about and made a decison on the spot.............. apprently she knew very little about bikes or motorsport in general.................roll on 3B verde
