well, my PAYE tax code arrived last week, along with an almost heart attack for me.

It seems that the tax office understood that I had 2 jobs and that my previous employed still employed me  I left one for another in March last year 

My new notification was forme to Pay high tax rate against ALL earnings  i.e. if i hadn't challenged it today I'd have been slammed in April with a huge taxdeduction until resolved

Make sure that you check yours too     

It all takes effect from April so there's plenty of time to sort it
